Radice: Silk Cut Paneled Billiard with Silver Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-030-8022

In the 1960s and 70s, Luigi Radice worked at two of the most acclaimed Italian marques, Castello and Caminetto. After cementing himself as one of Italy's best pipe makers, he began to craft pipes with his sons under the family name. This Billiard is a somewhat atypical rendition from Radice, since the Italian workshop rarely fashions paneled bowls. The bowl here possesses robust, neoclassic size, but the typically cylindrical walls are adorned with crisp facets, creating an octagonal pattern that fosters this piece's structural aesthetic. The shank-and-stem arrangement offers a contoured contrast, as it presents a sleek, linear taper from transition to bit. Furthermore, the junction features a trim silver band, which presents a glimmering flourish alongside the jet-black Silk Cut sandblast that dresses the stummel.
