Radice: Silk Cut Liverpool (Special) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-030-8066
In the 1960s and 70s, Luigi Radice worked at two of the most acclaimed Italian marques, Castello and Caminetto. After cementing himself as one of Italy's best pipe makers, he began to craft pipes with his sons under the family name. This Liverpool by Radice, though rendered in the dramatic Italian neoclassical style, maintains all of the form's characteristic features, including a sturdy, upright bowl, a protracted round shank, and an abbreviated tapered stem. The bowl here is tall and cylindrical, its Poker-esque frame boasting a wealth of substance for the fingers to embrace and concealing a chamber of considerable depth. A flat heel enables the entire composition to sit without the aid of a pipe stand, making this piece a lengthy and stylish desk pipe. Dressed in the crisp Silk Cut sandblast, this piece offers a wealth of rugged texture to accompany its attractive grain.
