Radice: Silk Cut 'Collect' Bent Dublin Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-030-8203
In the 1960s and 70s, Luigi Radice worked at two of the most acclaimed Italian marques, Castello and Caminetto. After cementing himself as one of Italy's best pipe makers, he began to craft pipes with his sons under the family name. Radice's Collect series consists of arresting, unique pipes, with this bent Dublin being a prime example of the series' style. The bowl is extraordinarily large, its walls flaring from a sweeping heel to an incredibly broad, convex rim that is crowned with stunning whorls of plateau. Out back, the shank and stem are relatively slender, but their diamond cross-section adds significant muscularity to the composition. Additionally, the stummel is dressed in an auburn sandblast, highlighting a stunning array of growth rings that radiate up the bowl.
