Radice: Rind Billiard (E) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-030-8291
Almost twenty years before Radice was established, its founder, Luigi Radice, began his journey with briar pipes at the now-iconic Castello workshop. In 1968, Luigi and Giuseppe Ascorti teamed up to create the Caminetto brand but Luigo eventually left and founded Radice in 1980. With the help of his father and sons, Gianluca and Marzio, Luigi created a family business known for their unique spin on neoclassical pipes, as well as their singular accenting and finishing techniques.
Approaching Nosewarmer proportions, this Billiard from Radice comes in at just over five inches long. Compact yet hefty, this pipe is a good option for travel while ensuring you don't sacrifice any smoking time due to its impressive tobacco chamber. Up front, the walls of the bowl rise to form the traditional cylindrical shape as they reach the flat rim with a subtle taper. The arrow-straight shank-and-stem arrangement is sturdy, maintaining balance with the brawny bowl. The cumberland stem out back is an ideal companion for the Rind rustication dressing the stummel.
