Radice: Rind Pure Bent Pot (E) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-030-8322
Almost twenty years before Radice was established, its founder, Luigi Radice, began his journey with briar pipes at the now-iconic Castello workshop. In 1968, Luigi and Giuseppe Ascorti teamed up to create the Caminetto brand but Luigo eventually left and founded Radice in 1980. With the help of his father and sons, Gianluca and Marzio, Luigi created a family business known for their unique spin on neoclassical pipes, as well as their singular accenting and finishing techniques.
Luigi Radice continues to pay homage to his own history with his tribute to the Castello "55", in the form of this charmingly stout bent Pot, albeit with a touch more briar within its compact proportions than the former. It's complemented nicely by the Rind Pure rustication, which will develop a nice patina after years of smoking enjoyment. The lightly-stained stummel juxtaposes the stubby, cumberland stem that tapers to the bit.
