Radice: Rind Billiard with Faux Bamboo Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-030-8379

In the 1960s and 70s, Luigi Radice worked at two of the most acclaimed Italian marques, Castello and Caminetto. After cementing himself as one of Italy's best pipe makers, he began to craft pipes with his sons under the family name. The Radice family presents a solid, straight Billiard here, with the bowl cloaked in the dark, craggy rustication of the Rind finish, offering a wealth of rugged texture in the hand. The shank, in this rendition, is carved to resemble three knuckles of bamboo for a striking, playful disposition, while a black saddle stem complements the overall form. The smooth finish of the shank affords this pipe a striking contrast and draws the eye further toward the aft side, lending the composition a good balance.
