Boasting the deep, craggy rustication of the Rind finish, save for the rim and shank end left smooth for a nice bit of contrast, this Apple from Radice is a tactile piece, maintaining a plump, yet lightweight feeling in hand. The tall, rounded bowl dominates most of the visual weight of the profile, as the relatively lithe shank-and-stem combination taper together to a fine bit. Dressed in a ruby stain that accentuates the richly-textured rustication, which the black acrylic stem complements well, this is a handsome Apple with plenty of charm.
