Randy Wiley: Partially Rusticated Freehand (66)

Product Number: 002-093-2246

Simultaneously calling to mind the old Opera shape, the classic Blowfish archetype, and a rendition of the bent Apple, this Freehand shape from Randy Wiley is cinched around the midsection, resulting in a somewhat flattened impression when viewed from the fore, above or below. The chamber is still cylindrical however, and Randy's gone the extra mile in terms of grain pattern, with a craggy display of plateau down below, and a full pool of birdseye to the right disc-like flank. A neat piece.
