Randy Wiley: Galleon Bent Dublin (44)
Product Number: 002-093-2457
What's especially attractive about this Randy Wiley bent Dublin is its display of restraint in terms of the taper of the bowl. The flare is conservative and tasteful, rising to a smooth rim of mixed grain in almost-Billiard style. That's where the restraint ends, though, as the bowl is large, the shank low and relatively small in diameter, and the saddle stem a bright, sunny yellow in contrast to the earthy, deep brown coloring of the stummel. Soft curves and reduced ancillary elements combine for a uniquely American pipe by one of North America's most experienced and popular craftsmen.- Chuck Stanion
