Randy Wiley: Partially Rusticated Bent Dublin (55)

Product Number: 002-093-2493

Randy Wiley's irrepressible style is on fine display with this partially rusticated Dublin. Deeply-bent for easy balance, this piece presents an oval bowl, longer along the axis of the shank than it is wide, with a lenticular shape when viewed from above. One rounded swath of rustication covers the heel, while the remainder of the stummel is contrast stained in a light chestnut hue, and delineates the individual strands of briar brain riding up the flanks. The rim is asymmetrical, lower on the left than on the right, and is broadly domed with a crisp ridgeline defining the edge.
