Randy Wiley: Partially Rusticated Bent Dublin (55)

Product Number: 002-093-2496

A shape that tows the line between bent Dublin and Horn, this is one of the more sinuous, soft-lined designs I've encountered from Randy Wiley. That said, while the curves and profile are genteel, the overall size is anything but — fitting into Wiley's portfolio, this piece offers a palm-filling bowl with plenty of chamber. It's been shaped to slight oval, prompting a more comfortable feel in hand, and the transition and half of the shank bear a section of rustication, sweeping upward into the flanks of the lower bowl.
