Randy Wiley: Patina Paneled Bent Dublin (66)
Product Number: 002-093-2500
This bent Dublin from Randy Wiley is stoutly-proportioned and features some neat, architectural panels around its bowl. When viewed from above, the paneling has shaped the rim into a hexagon, providing an excellent canvas to showcase whorls of birdseye. Said panels have actually been formed by the shank's subtle ridgelines as they start out subtly from the shank face and gradually become more prominent as they work their way up the bowl. It's all dressed in his smooth, light-stained Patina finish, brilliantly showcasing the lively windswept flame grain around the robust bowl. A vibrant purple-hued accent along the shank end tops everything off rather nicely and provides just enough contrast without distracting from the stummel's impressive line work.- Jeffery Sitts
