With a deep, supple bend, tall bowl, and appropriately deep chamber, this Randy Wiley offering is a piece that should hang from the jaw with relative ease, all while providing some comfortable texture in hand thanks to his Galleon rustication. It fits in well to the American carver's portfolio which is dominated by large, boldly shaped pieces — Randy often drawing influence from Italian neoclassic shaping cues, placing the majority of the pipe's visual focus at the bowl. Such an aesthetic is inherent to the Stack shape, but in the hands of Wiley, it's all the more emphasized.
