A stylish interpretation of the bent Dublin shape, this piece from Randy Wiley features a tall, stocky bowl with a flared rim that slopes downward at the fore of the composition and adds a touch of asymmetry to the pipe in profile. The sheer girth of the bowl overshadows the comparatively trim shank-and-stem arrangement that reaches out back. A warm, traditional smooth finish dresses the stummel and highlights tight strands of flame grain on one flank of the bowl and whorls of birdseye across the other, while a spot carving of a feather around the transition offers a touch of tactile contrast.
