A beautifully shaped bent Dublin from Randy Wiley, this piece caters to the American carver's penchant for stout, robust designs, but keeps the relative proportions between the bowl and shank more balanced and consistent compared to his other neoclassic renditions. The transition is smooth and makes for a comfortable thumb rest when holding the piece, and the consistent taper through the shank and stem base lend the aft side of this piece a graceful poise. The stummel is dressed in a warm, auburn-hued smooth finish courtesy of the patina series, showcasing handsome grain throughout while the coffee tones of the acrylic stem lend some contrast.
