Kent Rasmussen: Sandblasted Bent Pot with Mazur Birch Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-287-0201

Reminding me a bit of a playful depiction of whale, this Rasmussen bent Pot presents a very massive sense in its squat, thick-walled bow, followed by a strong curve of transition and a sort of happily "splashing" gesture and flare from the shank through the mazur birch-accented base of the stem. As for the briar, well I'll admit I had to double-check to be sure it was briar. The rings, you see, certainly look like briar's growth rings, but the definition of the blasted birdseye Kent brought out at the rim is the sort of thing I'm used to seeing only in strawberry wood.
