Rinaldo: Egea Collection Partially Rusticated Freehand (01) (SL-10)
Product Number: 002-031-0267
Having both started their pipe making journey early on, Elio and Guido Rinaldo possess a certain harmony when it comes to shaping and execution. With Elio's careful attention to detail and Guido's mastery of precious metals, they produce some truly novel designs — even by Pesaro standards. In this case, it's a muscular number with a swooping profile. The bowl shape itself resembles short bowled bent Egg with a definite Danish flair. It's finished in a craggy partial rustication with a smooth burgundy-stained rim that cascades down the back of the bowl and into the transition. Topping it off, we find Guido's hand in a generous amount of sterling silver at the mount and base of the stem: worthy of a place in the marque's classy silver line. Overall, it's one bold, striking composition that's sure to please.
