The Rinaldo brothers' penchant for stout proportions and smooth curves really comes to light in their renditions of the classic Apple shape — lending the form an extremely comfortable feel in hand. This example is no exception, with its spherical form fitting perfectly to the contours of the palm. The transition on this pipe is unusual, with prnounced cheeking of the bowl, providing a good touch more gesture and lift to the shank and stem. The grain is stunning in this warm contrast, and as is always the case, Guido's silverwork is on point.
