Rinaldo: Lithos Bent Dublin (YYY) (Titania)
Product Number: 002-031-0520
With a wide, flaring, domed rim of smooth, birdseye-crowded briar, and the tight rustication technique that Elio and Guido Rinaldo are known for, this bent Dublin is stout, as indicated by the "Titania" designation. While its smooth curves dominate in profile, this piece also features some precise and sharp ridging of the diamond shank, even with the rusticated surface. The stem is a smoky, translucent brown, contrasting darkly against the lightly stained stummel, and the bowl is slightly elongated along the shank axis in a broad oval, providing easy grip for this large Italian smoking instrument.- Chuck Stanion
