Rinaldo: Lithos Cherrywood (YY) (Titania)

Product Number: 002-031-0537

The Cherrywood is, in essence, a bent Poker, still able to sit sturdily upright, but featuring an angled shank and bent stem. It's a shape we don't often see from Elio and Guido, but the Rinaldo brothers have delivered an excellent rendition here. The bowl's positioned at a slight forward cant, subtly flaring from its flattened heel up toward the broad, domed rim above. Said rim is left smooth, stained a deep ruby hue to match the base, offering some lovely visual contrast against the rest of the stummel's rugged, dimpled Lithos rustication and matching the trim band of smooth briar along the shank end. The gracefully arching shank and stem combination help to balance the design, with the semi-translucent acrylic stem adding some contrast.
