Defined by a tall, firm bowl and a gradual curvature along the shank, this bent Billiard from Rinaldo is an Italian neoclassical rendition of the traditional shape. The pert, profile-dominating bowl features a stout, subtly lifted heel that offers the composition a touch of forward-ebbing momentum in profile. The lengthy shank flares subtly as it extends from the low-slung transition and gently curls upward near its face. An abbreviated saddle stem of jet-black acrylic tops off the design and makes a light downturn for a comfortable smoking posture. The stummel wears a earthy, copper-toned sandblast that coaxes out some rippling waves of growth rings just below the briar's surface and showcases some splendid, calcified birdseye across the rim. Crisp, bold, and all together charming, this piece will make a welcome addition to any collector's rotation.
