Elegant gesture and fluid sinuosity characterize this Calabash from the Rinaldo brothers, doing well to embody the workshop's Pesaro style. The profile is flowing and dynamic yet still substantial enough to ensure a firm fit in hand, the bowl here displaying a more vertical, straight-sided approach than is more often seen with Calabash shapes. The domed, overhanging rim in this example is very close to a straight taper, providing a bespoke aesthetic, while the handsome, chestnut stain is accented by a flashy band of sterling silver.
