Rinaldo: Lithos Bent Dublin (YYY) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-031-0681
Sinuous and muscular, this bent Dublin from Rinaldo features a deep curvature about its shank and stem and a robust, almost imposing build. Despite this, the bowl still manages to showcase some supple curves, especially around the rim, which is quite round, reminding me of the Acorn shape a bit. The transition dips inward a good bit and emphasizes the flare to the rim, and the firm heel puts more prominence on the fore of this piece, drawing attention to the bowl's over two and a half inches of height. The shank flicks upward rather sharply, tapering from the transition and terminating at the rather demurely arced saddle stem, its pinched base and dual expansion rings giving the aft of the pipe a bit of a lithe character. Dressing this piece is a warm rendition of the Lithos rustication which lends the stummel a nicely craggy texture and contrasts well with the black stem.
