Rinaldo: Lithos Bent Billiard (YYY) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-031-0715
This bent Billiard from Rinaldo certainly embodies the Italian neoclassical style, with a thoroughly dramatized shape and bold proportions which we come to expect from the Italian workshop. There's a good deal of playfulness present here with regard to the silhouette, the shank visually separated from the bowl via a pinched transition and the shank's own sharp spur beneath. The shank end is flared to a domed face and married to a stylish tapered stem of deep amber acrylic, its base adorned with an expansion ring to mirror the flare of the shank. At the bowl we see a rushing forward cant and a curvaceous build which pinches near the midsection for a truly unique look, all standing atop a firmly rounded heel. Dressing the briar here is the workshop's iconic and craggy Lithos rustication which provides plenty of texture in hand, and its surfaces are stained a warm tan which matches the stem quite well for a unified look that's contrasted by the smooth rim and shank face.
