Rinaldo: Lithos Bent Apple (YYY) (Titania) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-031-0719
Bearing a "Titania" stamp, indicating briars of substantial size and girth, this bent Apple from the Rinaldo brothers offers a palm-filling bowl that's paired to an upturned shank and an arcing stem of jet-black acrylic. In typical Italian neoclassical fashion, the bowl holds most of the visual weight within the composition, overshadowing the comparatively trim proportions of the shank and stem. Here, a lifted heel further reinforces the bowl's visual weight, as it drives the bowl forward. It's all presented in the craggy Lithos rustication, which provides ample texture for the fingers to explore, save for the rim, which is left smooth for contrast.
