Rinaldo: Lithos Bent Bulldog (YY) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-031-0757

We've seen a number of different variations on the bent Bulldog from Rinaldo, with the Italian workshop doing well to carve the classic profile's wealth of firm ridges and muscular form. Here that muscularity is accentuated in one specific area: the bowl. The shank and stem still maintain a reasonably robust degree of thickness, but not quite as much as the bowl, with the main draw of the aft end here being the combination's incredibly deep bend reminiscent of the Oom Paul. Despite this, Rinaldo have managed to maintain the flow of the diamond-shank's ridges throughout and into the stem base, balancing curves and rigidity excellently in a package that urges to be hung from the jaw. The bowl is imposing, flaring out to a high-set waist that's marked by a single beadline set right at the transition, additionally denoting a taper to the chamfered rim. Dressed in the dark rustication of the Lithos series, this pipe is one that's potently muscular and charmingly rugged.
