Rinaldo: Lithos Bent Dublin (YY) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-031-0761

Quite a unique take on the bent Dublin From Rinaldo, this pipe from the Italian workshop showcases their more playful side and does well to demonstrate their neoclassical shaping style. The stem here is an arced taper of black acrylic that meets an upturned shank which issues out of a wide transition, the shank taking on a taper as it pushes forward, before flaring out to meet the stem. The result is a shank which looks pinched at the midsection, keeping the aft end of this pipe interesting and balancing out the visual weight of the bowl. Said bowl sits atop a rounded heel and flares out to a domed rim that's been crisply defined here by both a smooth, light stain and a ridgeline that wraps around it, the fore forming a sharp point that sets this piece apart from others like it. The rest of the stummel is dressed in the pastoral hues and craggy rustication of the Lithos series, with peaks of light briar peeking out to match the rim and a band at the shank end.
