Offering an impressively deep chamber, this sleek bent Egg from Rinaldo is lithely shaped, with a supple midriff and a gradual taper toward the rim. The proportions, however are dramatically increased, adhering to the Italian neoclassic style of pipe making. A sweeping heel and defined transition are preceded by a sleek, upwardly curling shank and a downturned stem, the latter promoting a comfortable, hands-free smoking posture. The stummel is dressed in an earthy, rugged application of the workshop's Sahara sandblast, with the rim left smoothly polished for contrast. This piece is further commended by a bright, amber-hued stem, creating an elegant contrast with the dark ruby stain.
