Rinaldo: Sahara Bent Apple (YYY) (Titania) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-031-0810

Elio and Guido Rinaldo have been making pipes together since 1974, getting their start in one of Pesaro's major workshops before establishing their own brand, Rinaldo, in 1987. To this day, every pipe produced by the workshop is crafted solely by the two brothers, with the utmost attention paid to every aspect of the pipes' performance and comfort, both in hand and between the teeth. A stylized take on the bent Apple, this piece balances a plump bowl at the end of its gently lifting shank-and-stem combination. The shank itself is quite a trim extension of briar, ebbing out of an angular transition as it lifts into a broad flare out to a smooth face. From here, a smartly curved stem of jet-black acrylic arcs out and tapers to the button, offering a comfortable smoking posture and keeping the stance of this piece rather elegant. The bowl here stands atop a rounded heel and expands out to a mid-set waist before curving up to its rim, the entire build taking on a gentle forward cant. Dressed in a crisp, auburn-tinged sandblast that's contrasted by light, smooth briar at the rim and shank end, the stummel here showcases handsome grain throughout.
