Elio and Guidi Rinaldo began crafting pipes as teenagers for Mastro de Paja, before going into business for themselves. Elio and Guidi are the only carvers at Rinaldo, and they produce pipes of stellar quality at an astonishing rate. This bent Apple by Rinaldo features a palpably plump bowl with bulging, hand-filling walls, and their alluring tactility is further increased by the craggy rustication that dresses the stummel. Out back, a thick shank emerges from a tidy transition and rises to a trim silver band, providing a dash of elegance to the warm hues of the blonde stain. In contrast, the tapered stem is fashioned from jet-black acrylic, which offers a comfortable clench and exudes traditional appeal.
