Rinaldo: Sahara Bent Apple (YYY) (Titania) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-031-0837

Ever since they were teenagers, brothers Elio and Guido Rinaldo have been honing their skills as pipe makers, with the two getting their start working for Mastro de Paja in 1974: the brand's bold, Pesaro-style influence still visible in their work today. In 1987, the two brothers would establish the Rinaldo brand, with each pipe being handcrafted by Elio and Guido themselves. Stamped with Rinaldo's Titania grade, this hefty bent Apple from the Italian marque boasts a plump, palm-filling bowl, its broad waistline formed by thick walls curving from the sweeping heel toward the flat rim. Adding further muscularity to this piece, a paneled oval shank curves upward from the bowl's transition and meets a smartly bent half-saddle stem, the pair offering a comfortable smoking posture. Courtesy of Rinaldo's Sahara finish, the stummel is dressed in a dark, earthy sandblast, with the rim and nomenclature panel wearing a light, smooth stain for a touch of contrast.
