Rinaldo: Sahara Bent Apple (YYY) (Titania) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-031-0838
Ever since they were teenagers, brothers Elio and Guido Rinaldo have been honing their skills as pipe makers, with the two getting their start working for Mastro de Paja in 1974: the brand's bold, Pesaro-style influence still visible in their work today. In 1987, the two brothers would establish the Rinaldo brand, with each pipe being handcrafted by Elio and Guido themselves. Bearing the Italian marque's Titania grade, this bent Apple from Rinaldo boasts a hearty build within its rotund figure. This pipe features a plump bowl, its supple walls arcing from the sweeping heel toward the flattened rim: creating a figure that fills the hand comfortably. Out back, a muscular shank makes a sinuous upward turn as it transitions from the bowl and is punctuated by a smartly bent saddle stem of coffee-hued acrylic. Rinaldo's Sahara finish dresses the stummel in a dark, earthy sandblast, granting this piece a rugged complexion.
