Rinaldo: Lithos Bent Apple (YYY) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-031-0874

The Rinaldo brothers, Elio and Guido, have been crafting pipes since they were teenagers. They got their start in 1974 working for Mastro de Paja, which was founded by Giancarlo Guidi, the legendary founder of the Ser Jacopo brand who helped create the Pesaro school of pipe making. The Rinaldo brothers founded their own two-man pipe-making workshop in 1987, and their five decades of experience have led to them being known for their expertly designed pipes that are easy to hold in the hand and grip in the teeth. This bent Apple from Rinaldo is a fine example of the brothers' stellar craftsmanship. Lifting up from an acute transition, the shank terminates at a height that brings it level with the upright bowl's rim. Said bowl's rotundity contributes to a sweeping curve that underscores the totality of the pipe's shape, winding from the bowl's front rim, around the wide and plump heel, and up through the diamond shank to the smartly bent saddle stem. The sinuous shape of the pipe allows for a sense of balance and easy jaw hanging, while the bowl's girth and rusticated finish makes for a comfortable in-hand fit with a scintillating texture to explore. Smooth finished briar graces the rim and shank end to provide a subtle contrast in texture and color to the rest of the stummel.
