Making only its second appearance on our site since 2008, this Exoskeleton (and it IS an Exoskeleton, dammit) has metamorphosed into a Conducta, a reverse Calabash, and the center of this form, both literally and figuratively, is the implied articulation of a joint. In keeping with the (presumed) inspiration, while one segment is larger than its partner, the difference in size more subtle than seen in most Negoita signatures. In turn, a fine (dare I say it?), almost classical compositional balance presents. For additional visual emphasis, Rolando always finishes the point of articulation of an Exo in a different manner than that which comes before and after. In this case a smooth band of ruby acts as a bridge between two beautiful, startlingly well grained sandblast canvases. Just in case you forgot (and I almost did), it's worth mention again that this Rolando Exoskeleton is a reverse Calabash, making the interior almost as amazing as the exterior.
