Ryan Alden: Sandblasted Paneled Billiard (King of Clubs) Tobacco Pipe

A generously proportioned design from Ryan Alden, this interpretation of the classic Foursquare Billiard takes the traditional English shape and dramatically increases its dimensions. The sturdy, tall bowl houses plenty of chamber depth within the softly framed facets of this easy Sitter. Out back, the geometric disposition of the panels continue through the shank and stem, tapering subtly toward the bit, the gradual diminishing a shaping cue often seen in the Texas carver's portfolio. The stummel is dressed in a handsome, dark crimson sandblast, showing off the briar's natural grain and is further accentuated by an elongated and perfectly complementing cumberland mouthpiece.
