Sam Adebayo: Sandblasted Bent Apple with Dragonblood and Bakelite Tobacco Pipe

Sam Adebayo's aesthetic, like the jazz he cites as an influence, never ceases to be interesting and playful, though, also like jazz, there's no doubt it's grounded in a reverence for tradition. This bent Apple demonstrates this splendidly, with quite a Danish-like sense of gesture and flare of shank, coupled with the bolstered lift of the heel in profile. Rippling ring-grain cascades down all flanks, brought out by a sandblast of considerable depth. The ornate dragonblood accent continues the organic theme, while a touch of vintage class is imbued by the sky blue bakelite stem.
