An excellent example of the Danish school's approach to classic English shapes, this straight Billiard displays the traditional arrow-straight shank, firm transition, and upright bowl of the English style, yet with a touch less briar devoted to the shank and bowl walls, as well as a softer heel and gentle taper towards the rim. This is quite a svelte piece, as such, and the bowed sides of the bowl contribute to a comfortable feel in hand, with the shank and stem's length contributing to its elegant demeanor. A warm auburn stain dresses this piece, lending a traditional palette, and reveals a lovely cross grain structure with birdseye present on either flank of the bowl in dense whorls.
