Smio Satou: Smooth Bent Dublin Tobacco Pipe

I'll freely admit it; out of all the pipes in this Satou batch, this is the one that really jumps out to my eye. The shaping itself is certainly curious enough, presenting a sort of ultra-modern, yet organically hydrodynamic reinterpretation of the Zulu. The smooth, swift, powerful, effortless impression created by this combination of flow and form is unusual in the way it's able to express both boldness and directness of action, yet also a quietness of line. Taking this into account, I can't think of a better way it might have been finished than in the deep, energetic, yet softly dark black-and-ruby contrast stain that Satou chose.
