They then are given free range to interpret classical shapes however they wish, and results are always simply gorgeous, to say the least. Here we're presented with another successful creation, a quite lively and rakish take on the old bent Dublin. Stained with a rich, deep walnut contrast and immaculately polished, this well-crafted, substantial hunk of briar bears smooth flowing paneling along the bowl, with the rim left with its natural plateau. The square shank veers the bowl's organic leanings to the architectural, adding a calculated visual balance to the piece.
