Savinelli Autograph: Autograph Sandblasted Bent Bulldog Tobacco Pipe

Handmade and individually designed, Savinelli Autograph pipes offer imaginative designs that stray from the marque's shape chart, being shapes that are more Freehand-esque in execution. That said, the Autograph series also riffs off classic shapes with artisans imbuing them with their own creativity as evidenced in this bent Bulldog offering. It takes some creative liberties in its shaping, with the bowl wearing a firm ridgeline rather than the form's conventional beadlines and opts for a triangular shaped shank instead of a diamond one. The sandblasted finish is one of the best I've seen on an Autograph pipe and that's saying something considering how well-executed their blasts tend to be. An impressively consistent array of ring grain emanates from the lifted heel and creeps up the bowl's flanks before meeting the ridgeline. Just as eye catching as the grain is the bright acrylic accent that adorns the shank end, its swirling blue hues providing some colorful contrast.
