With an abundance of organic shaping, this Autograph from Savinelli presents a tall bowl with a flat rim echoed by the flat heel, which affords the opportunity for the pipe to sit independently. Its vertical presence is profound, and overall it offers a muscular disposition with a broad, undulating shank that expands to a smooth end finished in harmony with the rim, both stained a chestnut hue. The stem follows the angle of the shank with elaborate expansions before angling downward in a saddle configuration. Revealed in the sandblasted surface are angled growth rings and pleasing texture, while the bowl's ample height delivers agreeable dimensions for comfortable in-hand accommodation.
