Savinelli's Autograph series are handmade pipes crafted from high-quality blocks of briar by one of the Italian marque's artisans from beginning to end, allowing them to follow their creative impulses and individualistic design sense. The results are fetching, distinctive shapes, as evidenced by this bent Billiard. With a firm, subtly forward-canted bowl, this piece strikes a forward-surging profile. The robust, muscular transition features a touch of extra briar leading into the shank that results in a spur-like nodual that accentuates the distinction between bowl and shank. The shank flares gradually out of this defined transition before giving way to a saddle stem of jet-black acrylic, making a steep downturn for a comfortable smoking posture. The stummel wears a vibrant, orange-hued contrast stain that showcases some gorgeous, wind-swept flame grain across the flanks of the bowl and luscious whorls of birdseye across the rim. Pronounced and bold in it's design, this piece comes with a laguna tamper as an added bonus.
