Savinelli Autograph: Autograph Smooth Fan (8) (6mm) Tobacco Pipe

A voluptuous Fan from Savinelli, this pipe is a proud member of the Italian marque's Autograph series: pipes made by a single talented artisan according to their own artistic inclination. A particularly fine block of briar demanded to become this handsome shape, displaying a wealth of tightly-packed flame grain in need of an expansive surface on which to be immortalized. And the artisan responded, giving us a well-rounded heel that nestles comfortably in hand, with a broadly flaring stummel that expands upward and outward in a celebration of the briar's grain. A nice bespoke touch is the extra flare at the uppermost margin of the flanks, yielding additional organicism and more room for plateau to dance across the entire upper surface. The stummel is made resplendent by a smooth auburn finish, and topped by a jet-black acrylic stem that is designed to accommodate 6mm filters.
