In Savinelli's Autograph line, each pipe is handcrafted by one of the marque's talented artisans from select blocks of briar. The artisans are given complete creative freedom to follow their individual vision, and the results are often distinctive, non-traditional shapes, like this bent Billiard. The subtly lifted heel cants the bowl forward in profile, while the shank kicks high out of the low-slung transition. The broad base of the bowl possesses a touch extra briar on either flank, lending it a sense of structure. The stummel wears a dark, earth-toned sandblast that coaxes out rippling waves of growth rings on either flank of the bowl. A saddle stem of jet-black acrylic tops off the design and makes a gentle downturn for a comfortable smoking posture.
