Savinelli Autograph: Artisan Acorn (6mm) Tobacco Pipe

The Acorn isn't one of the more common shapes found in Savinelli's Autograph portfolio, which is hard to imagine when observing this smooth Artisan piece. Within the Autograph series, the Artisan Autographs provide pipes of more standard size, whereas the Autographs can be unusually large. The forward-urging, softly rimmed bowl of this Acorn is rather muscular with an Apple-like plumpness to the flanks. The shank-and-stem arrangement sweeps upward in a pleasing proportional balance to the bowl, while the gently downturned stem brings a pop of color to the composition with ice blue and cream hues. The stummel wears a handsome auburn stain, with the slightly wavy rim bathed in birdseye while the flanks show off some stunning, fiery licks of flame.
