Savinelli Autograph: Autograph Sandblasted Acorn Sitter (6mm) Tobacco Pipe

It's not very often that we receive Acorn renditions from Savinelli's Autograph series, and even fewer designated sitters, something which this rendition excels at. The Autograph line consists of handmade pieces from the Italian marque's most experienced artisans, each one given freedom from the shape chart to create unique, bespoke pieces according to their own imaginations. This Acorn showcases a trim saddle stem ebbing out of its comparatively lengthy, slightly upward angled shank: itself pushing out from a rather wide transition. Beneath, this transition dips into a flared foot, wide enough to allow for easy sitting whenever you wish to put this piece down, which is pinched near the heel. The bowl that sits atop this foot is plump, expanding to a high-set waistline and domed rim, the feel in hand quite comfortable and the subtle forward cant it takes on adding a touch of dynamism to the silhouette. Dressing this pipe is a warm auburn-mahogany sandblast, unveiling some rippling undulations of ring grain cascading over the bowl, with growth rings across the flanks of the shank.
