Savinelli's Autograph line comprises pipes handcrafted by the Italian workshop's most experienced artisans who're given leeway in the form's shaping, often resulting in whimsical, hearty pieces. This tall bent Dublin features a thick-walled, subtly flaring bowl with Pot-like proportions, its heel flattened into a teardrop pattern, allowing it to sit, even though it wobbles a bit initially. A gently bent shank and stem lend balance in back, and this piece is dressed in a warm sandblast that enhances the briar's handsome array of tight-knit growth rings and is complemented by the horn-hued mouthpiece.
