Savinelli Autograph: Artisan Bent Billiard (6mm) Tobacco Pipe

A piece that comes to us from the Artisan sub-series of Savinelli's Autograph line, this bent Billiard is a more subtly stylized rendition of the shape than we're used to seeing from the Italian marque. Crafted by a single one of their most experienced carvers, this piece showcases a forward urging bowl that tapers very slightly from the sweeping heel to the inflated rim, its curves sure to offer comfort in the hand. The shank, too, features a touch of taper to its end, paired there to a trim, demurely downturned stem that lends it a touch of elegant shaping and continues the lines made by the stummel's contours. Dressing the briar here is a warm mahogany stain that reveals handsome flickering flame grain through the shank and around the bowl, while the rim and underside are peppered with birdseye.
