Savinelli Autograph: Autograph Freestyle Panel Partially Sandblasted Volcano (6mm) Tobacco Pipe

Part of Savinelli's Autograph line, a series of pipes that are handcrafted from start to finish and don't adhere to the marque's standardized shape chart, this Volcano boasts the form's characteristic ridgeline-wrapped base and steady taper toward the rim. The bowl is rather curvaceous in appearance, but the shank here is boxy and structural, adding a touch of rigidity to the composition. The muscular, high-climbing transition keeps the bowl and shank closely related, and the entire design lacks the proportional disparity that marks a great deal of Italian briars. A warm, honey-hued smooth finish dresses the stummel and highlights fine streaks of flame grain around the bowl, save for the heel, which is dressed in a crisp, dark sandblast.
