Savinelli's Autograph line offers pipes that deviate from the Italian marque's standard shape chart. Each pipe in the series is handcrafted by one of Savinelli's most experienced carvers, who are given complete creative freedom to follow their particular vision. The results are unique designs like this paneled bent Dublin. A unique take on the classic form, this piece features a tall bowl that flares from a pointed, Acorn-like heel to a broad rim. The rim slopes toward the transition and draws the eye to the upturned oval shank and arcing tapered stem out back. The rim's raised fore and the heel's rearward angle lend the bowl a dynamic posture in profile. A crisp auburn sandblast dresses the stummel and highlights a tight growth rings across the bowl's flanks.
